MY PHOTOGRAPHY GEAR

Nikon Z6
Announced in 2018, Nikon Z6, together with Z7, are the first mirrorless cameras of Nikon. I am always an adventurous person who don't mind trying out new systems. And it didn't disappoint. I have been shooting in the Nikon system for 10 years now. It has the best ergonomics out of the cameras I have tried out. The colours on this camera are amazing. Its in-body stabilisation and its robustness blow my mind. It is super versatile for both photos and videos. It has been my main camera for all my hikes and travels for the past 4 years.
Nikon Z fc
My backup camera used to be Sony a7ii, which didn't make sense at all as everything else I own is in the Nikon system. But I wasn't in the financial position to buy a new camera at all. Lucky me won Zfc with its kit lens from a Nikon competition and that's how I fully switched to Nikon. Obviously it's not gonna be as good as my Z6, but it does its job. With the flip screen, I mainly use it for vlogging and shooting B-rolls.

NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S
24-120 is a focal length I swear by. Though some people have doubts over this lens due to it being a bit slower at f/4, you're not gonna need the f/2.8 if you're shooting landscapes anyways. This is a very convenient lens for video shooting too. It is lightweight enough to bring on hikes. I don't need to switch lens all the time. And I love the bokeh and reach at 120mm. Almost all my photos are shot on this lens and it is rarely off my Z6.
NIKKOR Z 20MM F/1.8 S
People always talk about how essential it is to have a wide-angle lens for landscape photography. While I love shooting landscapes with a telephoto approach, having a wide-angle fast lens would be better for astrophotography. This prime lens isn't as expensive as the Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S but is still super sharp and lightweight. I found it useful for shooting waterfalls in Iceland and even some portraits in super tight situations, like indoor events in Hong Kong.
